Once again, I was asked to use my hack rod building skills to help out a family member. My father wanted me to build one of his coworkers a rod. After a little discussion, we decided on an IM6 eight foot four weight. We decided it would be the best all around rod for the type of fishing he does. I ordered the blank and components from Hook&Hackle and was soon started. The blank is a green two piece that I trimmed out with gold thread and ink. I like the color combination. It was a fairly quick and basic build. Both my father and his coworker were very happy with the final product. I have used this blank and thread comination on quite a few builds. I think it makes for a pretty rod. Let me know what you guys think.
