Last year, Cameron Mortenson declared 2013 to be the year of the bluegill. To celebrate our 100th post here, I rebuilt one of my grandfather’s old fiberglass rods and took it to a local pond. During our trip, Matthew was wearing his favorite Fiberglass Manifesto shirt. We flung a few poppers and manage to give life back to the old rod. It is one of my favorite write ups from last year’s adventures. Cam shared the post on TFM’s web page and included Matthew in May’s spotting contest. It was quite a thrill for the young man. With your help, Matthew easily one for the month of May. He is now entered into the year-end contest. Again, I come to you for help in voting to help him win a new fiberglass rod of his own. A rod that he may some day pass down to his own children and share the story of how he won.
Please take a minute to vote for him. Copy and paste this address: firstname.lastname@example.org, and type in Matthew Murphy. It is that simple.
I would like to thank Cam for including him in this year’s contest. If you do not follow The Fiberglass Manifesto, you should. Cameron Mortenson represents all that is good about the world of fly fishing!
